Saturday Sports Update

Top: With Fredonia's leading scorer, Tyler Putney, held in check during Friday's rivalry game between Dunkirk and Fredonia, the Hillbillies got plenty of help from their supporting cast to knock off visiting Dunkirk.  Dominic Gullo (left), shown here guarding Donovan Lockett in the first half, dished out nine assists, while Gabe Schrader (right) came off the bench to score 14 points, including four three-pointers, and grabbed five rebounds to help Fredonia.  Other players who shined for the Billies included Mike Berg and Ethan Fry, who had 22 and 16 points, respectively.  Photos by Ron Szot

Bottom: The Buffalo Sabres were missing two of their key players during Friday's practice at the KeyBank Center.  Forward Jack Eichel (left) and goalie Linus Ullmark (right) are both nursing lower body injuries.  The team announced late this morning that Eichel will not play in today's home game against the Philadelphia Flyers, while Ullmark will be out for the next month.  Photos by the Buffalo Sabres
