Sunday Sports Update

Top: Dunkirk High School's softball team split a doubleheader Saturday on its home field.  In the first game, the Lady Marauders suffered their biggest loss of the season, 17-3 against Falconer; in the second game, they bounced back and defeated Silver Creek by a 6-1 score.  With one week remaining in the regular season, Dunkirk has a 10-4 overall record and a mark of 7-3 in CCAA Division 1 West, trailing Fredonia and Falconer.  Photos by Ron Szot

Realmuto during the 8th inning of Saturday's game between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.  The Yankees rallied from a five-run deficit to force extra innings, but wound up losing to the Phillies 8-7 in 10 innings.  It was the second consecutive game New York lost in walk-off fashion.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom right: A scary moment during a Euro 2020 soccer match between Finland and Denmark on Saturday.  Denmark's Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch late in the first half and had to be taken to a hospital.  The game was delayed for more than one hour but resumed after both teams decided to continue playing.  At last word, Eriksen was in stable condition.  Photo by Reuters
