Bottom right: Buffalo Sabres head coach Don Granato began his introductory news conference this week with these words: "This is the position I wanted to be in." Granato spoke to members of the media this week after he was named the team's permanent head coach. Granato took over as the Sabres' interim head coach when the team fired Ralph Krueger on March 17th. Under Granato, the Sabres closed this past regular season with a record of 9-16-3.
