Top right: Buffalo Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula announced Saturday that they will pay at least a portion of the construction costs for the team's next stadium. The announcement came in the wake of reports that they requested Erie County taxpayers to foot the entire bill and rumors of a potential relocation to Austin, Texas if that request was not granted. The most recent proposal by the Pegulas would have a new stadium with a projected cost of $1.4 billion across the street from the current Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. File photo

Tyler Gilbert of the Arizona Diamondbacks, shown here being mobbed by his teammates, delivered more than just a gem Saturday night -- he pitched a no-hitter in a 7-0 win over the San Diego Padres. It's the first time since 1953 that a pitcher recorded a no-no in his first MLB start and the eighth no-hitter recorded this season in MLB, tying a record. Photo by the Arizona Diamondbacks

One of the stars of the game was Ashton Putney of Fredonia, who pitched five innings and got credited with the win. Putney allowed two runs in the 1st inning, but then pitched four consecutive shutout innings as the Jamestown Krusaders defeated the team from West Fargo, North Dakota by a score of 8-2.
