Saturday Sports Update
Top: A mixed bag of news came out of One Bills Drive on Friday. Quarterback Josh Allen (left), coming off a foot injury in the Buffalo Bills' loss last week to Tampa Bay, was a full participant in Friday's practice after being limited the previous two days. He has no injury designation on the team's report, so he should be getting the start tomorrow against Carolina. Allen may not have his blindside protector available, though; starting left tackle Dion Dawkins (right) has been placed on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for the virus, but with revised protocols in place, head coach Sean McDermott is not ruling Dawkins out yet. Bottom left: The Buffalo Sabres lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, but it wasn't because of Malcolm Subban. The Sabres' netminder had a busy night and made a career-high 45 saves, including an acrobatic behind-the-back save in the 1st period that made Number 1 on ESPN SportsCenter's top 10 plays list. The Sabres rallied from a 2-0 deficit and salvaged a point before losing 3-2 in overtime. Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
