Sunday Sports Update

Top: One big question remains for the Buffalo Bills today, the final day of the NFL regular season -- will they hold on to win the AFC East?  The Bills are tied for the division lead with the New England Patriots, but they hold the tiebreaker for better division record, which means that all they need is either a win over the visiting New York Jets or a loss by the New England Patriots to clinch their second straight division title.  The Bills haven't won consecutive division titles since a run of four straight from 1988-1991, and they haven't clinched a division on their home field since 1995.  Tune in to WDOE (94.9 FM/101.5 FM/1410 AM) for all the action from Highmark Stadium, with kickoff at 4:25 PM!  Photos by the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets

Bottom: Fredonia's boys and girls high school basketball teams were in action Saturday, playing in games that were postponed from earlier in the week.  The boys traveled to Salamanca for their CCAA Division 1 West opener and got blown out by a score of 92-60.  Nick Creeley (left), shown here making a bucket in the 1st quarter, scored 20 points in the losing effort.  Meanwhile, the Silver Creek girls beat Fredonia for a second time this season, winning 44-27.  Abby Rice (right), shown here driving to the basket in the first half, led all scorers with 19 points.  Images by Silver Creek High School and Salamanca High School
