Bottom: Friday night was a rough night for many north county teams on the high school basketball court. The best game of the night was between Fredonia and Southwestern, which was decided by a three-pointer by Jason Ni (left) with 23 seconds remaining to hand the Hillbillies a 67-64 loss. Fredonia's Nick Whitfield led all scorers with 30 points on the night. Meanwhile, Dunkirk hung tight with Olean (right) for one quarter before getting outscored 21-3 in the 2nd quarter en route to a 73-57 loss. The Marauders remain winless in league play this season.
