Sunday Sports Update
Top: Super Bowl Sunday is here, and the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams will be battling this evening in Super Bowl LVI to lift the coveted Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Bengals, who are making their first Super Bowl appearance since the 1988 season, enter the contest as a four-point underdog after beating the Raiders, Titans and Chiefs in the AFC Playoffs. The Rams, who are making their second Super Bowl appearance in four years, will have the advantage of their home field and one of the league's top defenses. WDOE (94.9 FM/101.5 FM/1410 AM) will have wall-to-wall coverage of Super Bowl LVI, beginning at 2:00 PM, leading up to kickoff at 6:30 PM. Photo by the National Football League

It was the fifth goal medal won by the United States, which added a sixth gold to its tally earlier today when Erin Jackson took home a gold in the 500-meter speed skating event. Photo by USA Today
Bottom right: Saturday was a rough road trip for Dunkirk High School's girls and boys basketball teams, with both losing to Allegany-Limestone. The girls lost their game by a score of 51-29, while the boys also got blown out by a 71-45 score. Both Marauder teams are still without a win against CCAA Division 1 West opponents.
