The contest saw Fredonia rally from an 11-point deficit at one point, but the Hillbillies could not maintain that lead, and they saw their season end with a 65-58 loss. Whitfield scored 25 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and added three assists and two blocks in what was the final high school basketball game for the senior. Photo by Greg Larson

MLB has said that it would start canceling regular season games if a deal is not reached by the end of Monday. ESPN reports that while progress has been made, both sides remain far apart on some major economic issues. Photo by USA Today
Bottom: It's not quite March yet, but madness abounds in college basketball, and Saturday's games are all the proof you need; for the first time ever, each of the top six ranked teams in the country lost on the same day. The upsets included St. Mary's taking down top-ranked Gonzaga and unranked Colorado toppling Arizona, the second-ranked team in the nation. Photos by St. Mary's University and Colorado University
