Yankees lose opener in Baltimore on a walk-off walk...a game-time decision for a Sabres defenseman...and Dunkirk's baseball team brings home a championship from Myrtle Beach.  More details from Greg Larson on today's Saturday Sports Update...

Saturday Sports Update

Top left: Aroldis Chapman has had a rough two-day stretch for the New York Yankees.  On Thursday, the team's closer walked three consecutive batters against the Toronto Blue Jays in the 9th inning of a game his team won in spite of his lack of control.  On Friday in Baltimore, he was called upon in the bottom of the 11th inning to get one out with the bases loaded in a tie game.  Chapman was unsuccessful, walking the lone batter he faced to send the Yanks to a 2-1 loss to the Orioles at Camden Yards.  Photo by USA Today

Top right: Buffalo Sabres defenseman Mattias Samuelson might be back in the lineup tonight when they face the Philadelphia Flyers.  Samuelson, who left Thursday night's 6-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues with a lower-body injury, did not practice on Friday; however, head coach Don Granato said he participated in an optional skate this morning and will be a game-time decision.  Samuelson has recorded nine assists in his second season with the Sabres.  Photo by the Buffalo Sabres

Bottom: Dunkirk High School's baseball team spent its spring break in Myrtle Beach to get some games under their belt for the new season.  On Friday, the Marauders capped their stay with a 15-4 win over Camden in the Mike Johnson Division championship game of the Mingo Bay Baseball Classic.  Dunkirk, which went 3-2 during the week, is scheduled to begin the league portion of its schedule on Monday against Gowanda.  Photo by Dunkirk High School
