Saturday Sports Update

Top: Buffalo Bills fans got a bit of a scare during the team's training camp practice on Friday.  Starting safety Micah Hyde (left) landed hard on his hip and left the field on a cart after going for an interception.  Preliminary reports indicated that the injury appeared to be relatively minor; head coach Sean McDermott told reporters this morning that Hyde would be day-to-day with soreness in his hip.  Meanwhile, Josh Allen (right) and company are putting on the pads today for the first time since training camp started.  Photos by the Buffalo Bills

Bottom left: Aaron Judge continues to put together a remarkable season for the New York Yankees.  On Friday, he hit two home runs in an 11-5 win over the Kansas City Royals, including a grand slam in the bottom to cap an eight-run 8th inning.  Judge's Major League-leading home run total is now up to 41; Babe Ruth (1928) and Roger Maris (1961) are the only other players in franchise history to reach the 40-homer mark in a season before August.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom right: While Yankees fans were happy about Friday's late rally against the Royals, that excitement got tempered when they learned that the pitcher many coveted before the trade deadline will not be coming to the Bronx.  On Friday, the Cincinnati Reds traded Luis Castillo to the Seattle Mariners and received for minor league players in return.  Photo by USA Today
