Sunday Sports Update
Top: Sean McDermott (left) and company safely made it out of the Buffalo area Saturday afternoon and got into Detroit, as the Buffalo Bills prepare to face the Cleveland Browns. This is not the first time the franchise has played a "home" game in the Motor City, with a similar situation occurring in 2014. Today, the Bills will be tasked with getting back on the winning track after losing their last two games by a combined six points. Tune in to WDOE (101.5 FM/1410 AM) for live coverage of today's game, with kickoff at 1:00 PM! Photos by the Buffalo Bills
Bottom left: Tage Thompson is one of the few players that Buffalo Sabres head coach Don Granato says has been "competitive" during the team's current losing streak. Following Saturday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Granato felt the rest of the team did not compete. That showed in the Sabres' 5-2 loss, as the team fell behind 3-0 after one period en route to their eighth straight defeat. Photo by the Buffalo Sabres
Bottom right: Westfield High School officially has a Division 1 athlete. Senior Haleigh Dellow (bottom row, center) recently signed to play softball for Atlantic 10 school George Mason University after she committed to the school last year. Dellow was a key figure in Westfield's run to a Section VI Class D softball title last season, hitting .526 at the plate and striking out 222 batters in the pitching circle.
