Saturday Sports Update

Top: While there is no official timetable for how long Buffalo Bills outside linebacker Von Miller (left) will be out, Bills head coach Sean McDermott did confirm on Friday that he will not play in the team's next game against the New England Patriots.  Miller suffered a sprained knee in the Bills' 28-25 win over the Detroit Lions on Thursday; ESPN reports that there is no ACL tear, but Miller is being considered out indefinitely.  Meanwhile, the Bills are hoping to get defensive end Greg Rousseau (right) and linebackers Tremaine Edmunds and A.J. Epenesa back next week; McDermott said they are all improving from their injuries, but did not say if they would return.  Photos by the Buffalo Bills

Bottom left: Craig Anderson (right) had a busy night in net for the Buffalo Sabres on Friday, stopping 41 shots against the New Jersey Devils.  Anderson also allowed three goals, and his teammates were unable to muster a lot on offense, as the Sabres lost by a 3-1 score at the KeyBank Center, snapping a two-game winning streak.  Photo by the Buffalo Sabres

Bottom right: Tyler Adams (center) battles with Harry Kane (left) during Friday's World Cup match in Qatar between the United States and England.  The two sides played to a 0-0 draw, which means the USA needs to beat Iran on Tuesday in order to advance to the knockout round of the tournament.  Friday's result marked the first time since 1950 that the USA kept a clean sheet against a European side in a World Cup match.  Photo by the U.S. Men's National Team
