Saturday Sports Update
Top: It'll be a battle of two quarterbacks who have been making plays with their legs all season long. Josh Allen (left) and the Buffalo Bills will battle Justin Fields (right) and the Chicago Bears in the frigid confines of Chicago's Soldier Field as part of a full slate of NFL games today; a win would clinch the AFC East for the Bills. Allen ran for 77 yards in his team's 32-29 win over the Miami Dolphins last week on top of 304 yards passing, which earned him AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. While the Bears have the worst record in the NFC, Fields has been a bright spot for his team, leading all NFL quarterbacks with exactly 1,000 rushing yards. Bottom left: The Tennessee Titans have been crumbling lately, and now it looks like they'll be without their starting quarterback the rest of the way. ESPN reported this morning that Ryan Tannehill will miss the rest of this season after undergoing surgery for a high ankle sprain, which he suffered in last week's 17-14 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Tennessee's lead in the AFC South is down to half a game after the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the New York Jets on Thursday. Photo by the Tennessee Titans
Bottom right: Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin is now number two on the NHL's all-time goal-scoring list. On Friday, Ovechkin netted two goals in his team's 4-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. That gives him 802 goals for his career, surpassing Gordie Howe. The only player left ahead of Ovechkin is Wayne Gretzky, who has 894 career goals. Photo by the Washington Capitals
