Sunday Sports Update
Top: The Buffalo Bills made three selections during the final day of the NFL Draft on Saturday. The first of those three picks is Justin Shorter (left) -- a big, physical receiver from Florida who caught 29 balls for 577 and two touchdowns last season. The Bills traded up to acquire the 150th pick that was used to get Shorter. The Bills made some other trades to get a pair of picks in Round 7; they include offensive lineman Nick Broeker (right) from Mississippi and cornerback Alex Austin from Oregon State. Bottom left: It has been 19 years since the Toronto Maple Leafs last won a series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. That drought ended on Saturday, as the Leafs defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 in overtime of Game 6 in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series on Saturday. John Tavares scored the series-winning goal 4:36 into the extra period to advance. Photo by the Toronto Maple Leafs
Bottom right: Aaron Judge has been relegated to being a spectator for the New York Yankees' last two games, as he deals with a hip injury. Their offense had already been going through a rough stretch with his presence, and so far in the two games he has missed against the Texas Rangers, the Yankees have been held to a combined two runs on eight hits. Both of those contests were losses, including a 2-0 setback on Saturday. Photo by USA Today
