Top: Buffalo Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams (left) and 2nd-round draft pick Anton Wahlberg (right) talk with reporters after the second day of the NHL Draft in Nashville on Friday. Wahlberg was one of seven players chosen by the Sabres on Friday after the team selected Zach Benson with its 1st-round pick on Thursday. All seven of the Sabres' draft picks on Day 2 stand at least 6'0", but Adams told reporters that he's not "obsessed with size," and that it's just how the selections fell in line for the Sabres.

The Bronx Bombers are at the exact halfway point of their season and sport a record of 45-36, which is 10 games out of first place in the American League East but good enough to hold one of the three American League wild card spots. Bottom right: One of the top guards in the NBA will be staying in Dallas. ESPN reports that Kyrie Irving has agreed to a three-year, $126 million deal to return to the Dallas Mavericks. Irving arrived in Dallas in the middle of this past season after he was released by the Brooklyn Nets following several off-court controversies. Last season, he was one of the top 10 scorers in the league with 27.1 points per game. Photo by USA Today
