A man from Silver Creek was charged after allegedly stealing several items from Crosby's convenience store in Mayville. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to the store located at 14 North Erie Street at about 10:15 AM Friday for a complaint of someone taking multiple items from the store without paying. Deputies were able to locate the subject, identified as 37-year-old Zachary Scott, and determined that he had allegedly taken the stolen items. Scott was arrested and charged with petit larceny and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Chautauqua Court at a later date.
