A traffic stop in the Town of Dunkirk led to charges against a Cattaraugus County man on Monday. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies on routine patrol saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Harbor Freight on Vineyard Drive shortly before 4:00 PM and found that the license plate was stolen out of Erie, Pennsylvania. Deputies charged 29-year-old Raymond Provorse of Olean with 5th-degree criminal possession of stolen property and multiple traffic tickets. He was released with tickets to appear in Dunkirk Town Court at a later date. State Police assisted with the investigation.
