A man from Warren, Pennsylvania who had an active warrant from a neighboring county was taken into custody in Jamestown on Monday. Jamestown Police conducted a traffic stop on the city's north side shortly after 8:30 PM and identified the driver as 47-year-old Michael Vinopal. Officers discovered Vinopal's warrant out of Crawford County and also allegedly found him to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. Vinopal was taken into and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. He is being charged as a fugitive from justice and also faces one count of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, in addition to his traffic citations. Vinopal is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail.
