A Westfield man has been charged after an investigation into a trespassing complaint in the Village of Brocton early Saturday morning. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office says it received the complaint from a location on Highland Avenue at about 4:30 AM and determined that 36-year-old James Mawhir was the person allegedly involved. Deputies add that Mawhir was already in custody at the Sheriff's Office for an uninvolved incident. He was issued an appearance ticket for trespassing and will appear in Portland Town Court at a later date.
