Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies took a Fredonia-area man into custody after he allegedly violated a valid stay-away order of protection on Saturday. Deputies responded to an address in the Town of Portland shortly after 4:00 PM. After an investigation, they located 39-year-old Jacob Tye and arrested him on a charge of 2nd-degree criminal contempt. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
