The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office has announced the following arrests related to impaired driving for May:
On May 3rd, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Route 20 and Swamp Road in the Town of Sheridan shortly after 2:45 AM. Further investigation found that the 26-year-old Mariah Kristian-Johnson of Dunkirk was allegedly driving while intoxicated. She was charged with DWI, no/inadequate taillights, and unlicensed operation.
On May 9th, 33-year-old Matthew Rozewicz of Forestville was charged with DWI and speeding. Sheriff's deputies pulled over Rozewicz on Route 20 in the Town of Sheridan shortly after 11:15 PM. Further investigation found that he was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
On May 10th, the Sheriff's Office stopped a vehicle on Eagle Street in the Village of Fredonia shortly before 2:00 AM. Deputies say 40-year-old Amanda Maynard of Angola was allegedly driving while intoxicated. She was charged with DWI and failure to stop at a stop sign.
On May 14th, deputies stopped a vehicle on Hanover Road in the Town of Hanover at about 9:00 PM. Further investigation found that the driver, 57-year-old Jonathan White of Gowanda, was allegedly intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to keep right, and moving from lane unsafely.
On May 16th, a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Tiara Gibble of North East, Pennsylvania was pulled over at about 12:15 AM in the Village of Sherman. According to the Sheriff's Office, an investigation determined that Gibble was intoxicated. She was charged with DWI, no plate lamps, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and operating without insurance.
On May 16th, a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Julia Morris of Corry, Pennsylvania got stopped on Hart Street in the Village of Sherman shortly after 12:30 AM. The Sheriff's Office says Morris was found to be intoxicated. She was charged with DWI, speeding, and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
On May 20th, sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of County Route 380 and Fenner Road in the Town of Stockton shortly after 9:45 PM. Further investigation found that the driver -- 29-year-old Ronald McClaran, Jr. of Falconer -- was allegedly intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and speeding.
On May 21st, deputies pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation in the Town of Stockton at about 10:15 PM. Following a roadside investigation, they determined that 40-year-old Mitchell Hoinski of Sinclairville was allegedly driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI and speeding in a 55 MPH zone.
On May 22nd, deputies pulled over a vehicle on Route 394 in the Town of Westfield just before 11:15 PM. The driver, 56-year-old Tammy Moore of Angola, was allegedly found to be intoxicated. She was charged with DWI and failure to dim headlights.
