Fire crews from three departments responded to a report of a fire involving an RV on the State Thruway that forced the closing of the eastbound lanes between exit 59 in Dunkirk and Exit 58 in Silver Creek. Firefighters from Silver Creek, Irving and Fredonia were called to the scene near milepost 460.3 in the town of Sheridan shortly after 10 am. WDOE News has learned there were no injuries. No word on what had triggered the blaze. The left lane has re-opened to traffic. Delays are expected according to the Thruway Authority.
