Two people were taken to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie after an accident Friday night involving a horse and buggy. Around 7:00 PM, Chautauqua County Sheriff's officers, along with Clymer, Sheridan, and Panama fire crews, responded to Route 474 in Clymer, where 67-year-old Ann Beebe of Panama was driving her vehicle westbound near the intersection of Wickwire Road and struck the horse and buggy, occupied by two adults and four children. One adult and one child were taken to Hamot for treatment of their injuries, while the other four were uninjured. An investigation revealed that Beebe was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
