Areas of dense fog will continue through mid morning along the Lake Erie shore from Chautauqua and Southern Erie counties into downtown Buffalo. The National Weather Service says the visibility may be reduced to less than a quarter mile locally. Motorists should use caution and be alert for rapid changes in visibility. The fog may be effecting the Thruway between Ripley and Buffalo, I-190 near downtown Buffalo, Route 5 and the Skyway.
