The five-day tournament -- on the upper course -- will be known at the LECOM Health Challenge. LECOM is the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania. Bill Calfee: what spectators can see

The total purse for the 2016 event is $600,000.  Calfee adds the web.com Tour returns all proceeds to the communities where it plays, so the tournament is expected to generate scholarships for LECOM students, as well as help for other charities.  A PGA official says web.com events often return over $5 million in economic benefits to the places where they are played. The PGA previously had an event at Peek n' Peak from 2002 to 2007, but left after a loss of sponsorship.
