Voters in the Dunkirk City School District will be deciding on a proposition that would convert School 6 into the PTECH College and Career Academy during a referendum set for next Tuesday, October 6. Dunkirk City School Superintendent Gary Cerne and Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES Superintendent Dr David O'Rourke were guests on Friday's Viewpoint program on WDOE. Cerne says the $8.3 million project would not impact district taxpayers.
