Boy Injured in Hunting Accident in Falconer

A hunting accident in the south county landed a young boy in the hospital on Friday.  According to media reports, the victim was hunting with his father and brother in a wooded area near the Falconer Mobile Home Park on East Elmwood Avenue in Falconer at about 8:30 AM, when he was accidentally shot in the shoulder by his brother.  The boy, whose name has not been released, was transported to Buffalo Women and Children's Hospital.  This is the second time in less than a week in which there has been a hunting accident of this nature in Chautauqua County.  Last Saturday, a hunter from Buffalo was accidentally shot by a 17-year-old in the Town of Arkwright.
