New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says the city is stopping the operation of some cranes after a construction crane toppled over in lower Manhattan Friday morning. The tragic mishap led to one death and three injuries. de Blasio says the incident apparently occurred as the crane was being moved into a secure position because of increasing wind speed. He says they are taking precautions, even though wind levels have not reached the level that normally would lead to a larger shutdown of cranes.
