The Chautauqua County Legislature has unanimously approved a local law that would allow sparklers to be sold by local retailers. Sheridan Republican Terry Niebel, who sponsored the measure, cited three reasons for approving the measure that is allowed by the state. He says local residents can go to Pennsylvania to buy not only sparklers, but the much more dangerous and illegal M-80s and M-60s. He's hoping the move will keep people from traveling elsewhere...
