Two people wanted on outstanding warrants from Dunkirk City Court are now behind bars, not only for the warrants, but new charges related to illegal drugs. Dunkirk Police say that patrol officers responded to 34 West 4th Street around 1:30 am after an officer spotted 25-year-old Nicholas Bailey through a window. He was being sought on a warrant for felony criminal mischief. While at the scene, police also observed 35-year-old Jenna Matney inside the apartment. She was wanted for violation of probation from an earlier charge. After taking both Bailey and Matney into custody, officers located and seized a significant quantity of cocaine powder that was packaged for street sale, a small amount of marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. As a result, Bailey and Matney have been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, a felony and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Both are being held without bail pending arraignment in Dunkirk City Court.
