A Falconer woman is facing several charges after she was allegedly found to have illegally received $3,023 in food stamp benefits over a 2 1/2-year period. An investigation by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office found that 28-year-old Stephanie Daniels was receiving employment income from five different employers from January 2014 to July 2016 while collecting benefits and also filed three false applications for benefits. Daniels has been charged with 3rd-degree welfare fraud, 3rd-degree grand larceny, three counts of offering a false instrument for filing, and misuse of food stamps.
