Governor Andrew Cuomo says 1,634 victims of wage theft in Western New York have been reimbursed approximately $500,600 between January and June of 2017. Cuomo says the wage recoveries are a result of his efforts to root out worker exploitation in multiple industries across New York State. Statewide, a total of 21,267 wage theft victims have been paid back more than $14.8 million.
