The Boy Scouts of America is clearing the way for girls to join its ranks. The organization's Board of Directors unanimously approved the move to allow girls into the Cub Scout program and to deliver a Scouting program for older girls that will enable them to advance and earn the highest rank of Eagle Scout. The Board stated that the "historic" decision comes after years of receiving requests from families and girls and the organization evaluated the results of numerous research efforts.
