The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for Chautauqua and Erie counties. The watch in Chautauqua County runs from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon, and for Erie County from Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph are possible. Shallow rooted trees may be downed more easily with the recently thawed and saturated soil conditions. Travel may become hazardous for high profile vehicles.
