A total of four people were injured in a crash on I-90 near mile marker 471 in the town of Pomfret Sunday afternoon. According to Fredonia Fire, a pickup truck carrying the four people went off the Thruway and struck some trees around 5 pm. Two of the victims were flown by Mercyflight helicopters to a Buffalo area hospital for treatment. The two other victims were transported by a rescue unit to Brooks Memorial. State Police, Troop T, responded to the scene to investigate the crash.
