Jamestown Police arrested a homeless man after he allegedly damaged approximately $11,000 worth of medical equipment at UPMC Chautauqua and spit on two employees at the hospital Sunday evening. Officers were called to the hospital shortly after 9:15 PM on a report of a disorderly male. 48-year-old Daniel Baird fled the scene after the incident, but was located not far from the hospital and was taken into custody without further incident. Baird was charged with 2nd-degree criminal mischief, 2nd-degree aggravated harassment and 2nd-degree harassment, and he was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
