A Thruway overpass in the Town of Pomfret has reopened to traffic. The New York State Thruway Authority announced the reopening of the North Road overpass Tuesday morning, with one lane of alternating traffic. Earlier this month, crews removed a severely damaged portion of the overpass after it had been struck multiple times earlier this year by overheight trucks.
