A Jamestown man faces a handful of charges after a recent drug raid on the city's south side. Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at an apartment at 25 Hazzard Street on April 10th with assistance from the Jamestown Police SWAT Team. 39-year-old Luis Torres-Cortes and two children were located inside the apartment, along with 15.9 grams of fentanyl, $255 in cash, scales, cutting agents, and packaging materials used for distributing narcotics. Torres-Cortes was taken to the Jamestown City Jail and charged with one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Jamestown Police were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Chautauqua County Emergency Services Tac Meds, and the Jamestown Fire Department.
