A woman from Jamestown has been arrested after a traffic stop leads to a possession charge. On Friday around 1:40 AM, Jamestown Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Main Street and West 7th Street. They observed one of the passengers to be 36-year-old Vanessa Figueredo, who was known to have a warrant for 1st-degree assault, along with multiple other charges. Upon being placed into custody, Figueredo had allegedly discarded a quantity of cocaine in the roadway near the vehicle in an attempt to conceal evidence. Figueredo was charged with 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. She is currently being held pending arraignment.
