The New York State Police sent out a reminder on Thursday that the deadline to register for the Trooper Entrance Exam is this Sunday, April 10. The exam will be administered through April 30. For the first time in State Police history, candidates are taking the exam on computer at one of the 54 testing centers across the state.
Once candidates have completed their exam application, they will choose a date, time, and nearby testing center to take the exam. No prior police or military experience is required to become a New York State Trooper.
