A historic season by Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has earned him the NFL's Most Valuable Player award. On Thursday night, Allen was presented the award during the annual NFL Honors event in New Orleans, becoming the third player in franchise history to be named league MVP, joining O.J. Simpson (1973) and Thurman Thomas (1991). Allen led the Bills to a 13-4 regular season record, the team's fifth consecutive AFC East title and an appearance in the AFC Championship Game. He threw for 3,731 yards, ruan for 531 yards and accounted for 41 total touchdowns during the regular season while committing just eight turnovers, the fewest of his career. Allen also became the first quarterback in NFL history to have five straight seasons of at least 40 touchdowns; the first quarterback to run for at least six touchdowns in six consecutive seasons; and the first player in league history to record a passing touchdown, rushing touchdown and receiving touchdown in the same game.
