We'll have a dry start to our day before showers and thunderstorms develop across the western Southern Tier during the afternoon and evening hours. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has the area under a marginal risk for severe weather during that time, with isolated damaging wind gusts and localized heavy rainfall as the main threats. Meanwhile, the National Weather Service's Buffalo office says very warm and humid conditions will return, with high temperatures in the 85-90 degree range across Western New York.
