AAA Projects Record-Breaking July 4th Travel Period

AAA is expecting a "banner" year when it comes to travel during the July 4th holiday period, which began last Saturday, June 28th and continues through Sunday, July 6th. A total of 72.2 million people nationwide are expected to travel at least 50 miles away from home during that time. Elizabeth Carey, a spokesperson for AAA of Western and Central New York, says despite factors like inflation and political unrest, they're finding that people want to get out and about...

Air travel is also projected to hit a new record with 5.84 million travelers flying to their destinations. INRIX, a provider of transportation and data insights, says the best time for motorists to travel will be during the morning, while the worst time to hit the road is the afternoon.
