A lengthy investigation into the promotion and possession of Internet-based child pornography in the Town of Gerry has led to the arrest of a Stockton man. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division began the probe on an unspecified date in 2024 and identified 46-year-old Timothy Napoleon, Sr. as the person allegedly responsible for those crimes. The Sheriff's Office says Napoleon's devices were seized, and further investigation located a quantity of images portraying obscene sexual performances being performed by children. Napoleon surrendered himself Thursday morning and was charged with promoting an obscene sexual performance by a child and possessing and obscene sexual performance by a child. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and will answer the charges in Chautauqua County Supreme Court.
