It appears that the Village of Fredonia will make a determination by September what path it wants to take when it comes to its water service. That's according to Mayor Mike Ferguson, who was a guest on WDOE's "Viewpoint" program this week. Ferguson gave his update days after the Village Board okayed a State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) for the option of obtaining its water from the City of Dunkirk through a connection with the North County Water District...

The other option presented in a study by LaBella Associates in May would involve making upgrades to the village's current water infrastructure, including its water treatment plant and the reservoir, and constructing a new water storage tank.
