Wendel, CLA Survey Chautauqua Lake Conditions Ahead of Summer Season

A spring survey of Chautauqua Lake finds that there has been limited macrophyte growth overall compared to last year, with isolated areas showing noticeable vegetation. County Executive P.J. Wendel recently joined members of the Chautauqua Lake Association to conduct the survey, focusing on the lake's south basin and areas previously identified as having significant vegetation growth. Wendel was joined on a boat ride by CLA Executive Director Heather Nolan-Caskey and CLA Board President John Ford and discussed current conditions and planned management strategies for the upcoming season.
