A Saturday evening vehicle pursuit in the north county ended with several charges filed against an Irving man. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies say they tried to stop a vehicle driven by 58-year-old Michael Jamison shortly after 6:00 PM in the Town of Arkwright. WDOE News has received confirmation from the Sheriff's Office that the vehicle was a motorcycle. Jamison allegedly failed to comply and led deputies on a chase that ended at an address on Allegany Road in the Town of Hanover. Jamison and a female passenger were both taken into custody after a brief struggle. Jamison was arraigned at the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of DWI, 3rd-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, 2nd-degree reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and several vehicle and traffic citations. The Sheriff's Office was assisted by the New York State DEC, Chautauqua County EMS, and Silver Creek Fire and EMS.
