
Jamestown Police say a man with a parole warrant was arrested after he was seen walking in the downtown area of the city Friday evening. Officers who were working a GIVE detail shortly after 6:00 PM saw 30-year-old Askiaa Faison and tried to stop him. Faison allegedly refused to follow orders, but was taken into custody shortly after. According to police, Faison was found to be in possession of 10.5 grams of methamphetamine and several types of drug paraphernalia. He is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail following his arraignment on one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and one count of 2nd-degree obstruction.
