As heat and humidity continue across Western New York, the region will once again be at risk for some severe weather. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has the entire region under a slight severe weather risk for Friday, primarily from the early afternoon to early evening hours. Forecasters say scattered thunderstorms are expected, and some storms may contain locally damaging wind gusts. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible with any storms that may develop.
